Integrasi Epistimologi Maqashid Syariah dan Sains Modern: Menuju Sintetis Ilmu Yang Humanis
Abstract
The development of modern science has made significant contributions to the advancement of human civilization. However, the orientation of science, which tends to be positivistic and materialistic, often neglects moral, spiritual, and humanitarian dimensions. In contrast, the epistemology of Maqashid Sharia offers a scientific paradigm that places human welfare (maslahah) as the primary objective in the development of knowledge. This study aims to analyze the concept of integrating the epistemology of Maqashid Sharia with modern science as a foundation for establishing a humanistic synthesis of knowledge. This research employs a library research method with a descriptive qualitative approach. The data were collected from the Qur'an, Hadith, classical works on Usul al-Fiqh, literature on Maqashid Sharia, and various scientific journals discussing the philosophy of science and the integration of knowledge. The findings indicate that the integration of the epistemology of Maqashid Sharia and modern science is capable of producing a scientific paradigm that is not only oriented toward empirical truth but also considers ethical values, justice, public welfare, and the sustainability of human life. This synthesis provides an alternative approach to addressing moral crises, environmental degradation, and dehumanization resulting from the rapid development of modern technology
